EVERY STUDENT DESERVES A TRUSTED ADULT.

  • Keynote and professional development

  • A supporting digital platform in development

KNOWING WHO STUDENTS TRUST IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

T/A Connect is a schoolwide trusted adult program built around student voice, shared responsibility and ongoing support. It gives schools a process for recognizing existing trust and supporting students who report no trusted adult.

Every student is surveyed at the beginning and end of the school year. Students decide whom they trust and what they share.

01  ASK EVERY STUDENT.

  • Students can identify up to two campus staff and one adult at home or in the community.

  • The searchable school roster includes teachers, food service, coaching, facilities, administrators and office staff.

  • Community selections are recorded; those adults are not contacted. Only campus staff are notified.

02  RECOGNIZE TRUST AND CONNECTION NEEDS.

  • Campus staff learn when a student names them as a trusted adult.

  • School teams distinguish no reported campus connection from no trusted adult anywhere. A missing response is kept separate.

  • Student trust and nomination counts are never used to rank or evaluate adults.

03  SUPPORT INTENTIONAL RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING.

  • A school liaison and Connection Team coordinate thoughtful follow-through. Relationships are not assigned.

  • Professional development, training and coaching support small, consistent interactions through which relationships can grow.

  • Technology organizes selections, changes and follow-through. Relationships belong to people.

04  RETURN TO THE STUDENT’S VOICE.

  • Students revisit their selections and can make changes as relationships change. The intended platform records additions and removals over time. Changes in reported selections do not, by themselves, prove relationship quality or that the program caused an outcome.

  • School implementation target: September 2027, subject to readiness and capacity. Digital platform in development.
